COMMUNICATION TEAM

Most people think that communication is to inform, but here at The Star we believe communication should inspire people to get connected throughout the church and within the community. Communication serves to inspire the why or the heart behind an event or activity. We aspire to use excellent communication to draw others to get involved in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Communication Center is the “heartbeat” of the church. It is where members and guest come to get information on available ministries, volunteer opportunities and outreach missions at The Star so they can get involved. It is the desire of our Pastor and each member of this ministry that every member is informed and gets plugged into the ministry of Jesus Christ.

The Communications Ministry Team works together to provide cohesive and effective communication for ministries of the Bethlehem Star Baptist Church. Because it is our desire that EVERYONE is informed in a timely, convenient and effective manner, the Executive and Core ministry leaders coordinate efforts within and outside of the church to reach the masses in ways in which they are most comfortable – cell phone, home phone, text, email verbal or social media. The ministry team consists of servants gifted in many areas. Therefore, as a team we aid the other ministries in effectively presenting the what, when, where, why and how.

Communication is key to a successful ministry. Without it there is no foundation to build and grow relationships between church leaders, ministry leaders, volunteers, members, guests and the community. It is the goal of the Communication Ministry to magnify the mission and vision the Lord has given Pastor Payne through multiplying the volunteer participation. This can be done through effective interpersonal, inter-organizational and external communication.

The Lord Jesus Christ knew that good communication would involve multiple channels working simultaneously. When we engage others in as many senses as possible, for the maximum time, the communication will have a long-lasting impression!

“So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.”

Romans 14:19 (NLT)
